The Final Countdown.

War. War never changes. The battle of Ragnarok is the exception. This battle shall end the reign of the Aesir, and ultimately the gods themselves. I have foreseen all that is to come, and will give this tale to you mortals as to never forget my reign. I am Odin, and this is the story of my end. It will begin with the murder of my son Balder. While this news upsets me greatly, I have come to terms with his end. But not only that but a great winter of three years shall grip the world, causing wars that pit brother against brother, slaying much of mankind. And after these events, the beautiful red rooster, Fjalar the All-Knowing, shall descend from the heavens and alert the giants and all the world that Ragnarok has begun.

The invasion of my home and stronghold, Asgard shall be sieged, it's walls set on fire by the great and powerful fire giant Surt. My warriors of Valhalla, the greatest soldiers on Earth, brought here by my Valkyries, shall aid my Aesir and I in the battle against evil. And we shall march to war. I shall battle Fenrir, the great wolf and son of Loki, and he shall slay me. The Midgard Serpent, a creature of great evil shall arise to battle Thor, and they will kill each other simultaneously. Loki, my underling shall betray us, and join the Jotunn and fight Heimdall and both shall face their demise by the hand of the other. Freyr the Great will fall at the hand of Surt, and the battle will have ended.

Nine worlds in a blazing inferno of death. Surt will set all worlds ablaze, pushing all lands into now boiling seas. But I find comfort only in one thing. The world will go on.

Concluding the Copiously Cold-Blooded Conflict.

After the Fire giant Surt slays Freyr, he shall set the all nine worlds into a blazing inferno, boiling the seas, and sinking all land. There is nothing I can do to prevent this. I have come to terms with this only because of one reason: I have seen that the world WILL go on.

The Climatic Conflict of a Cold, Cold Combatic Conflict.

As I stated earlier, the Giant Red Chicken will have announced Ragnarok's coming and at that point the battle will begin. The fire giant Surf will set the walls of my palace, Asgard, on fire. Fenrir the Wolf will break free and wreak havoc, and the moon and sun shall be swallowed by wolves. As my Aesir march to battle, my sons and I do as well. I will battle the wolf Fenrir, and face my demise by him. My son Thor shall battle the Midgard Serpent, and they shall simultaneously slay each other. It is said Loki, my underling will betray us and will fight Heimdal, and both shall meet their doom there. Freyr will be killed by the fire giant Surt, and at that point, the battle will be concluding.

The Beginning of the End.

As I have explained, Ragnarok is the ultimate battle between good and evil. But what will signal this conflict? A murder of my son Balder. A winter of 3 years, which results in a plague of wars that will pit brother against brother. And finally, a beautiful red rooster "Fjalar the All-Knowing" will warn the giants that Ragnarok has begun, and the great battle shall begin.

What is the Conflict in Ragnarok?

Light vs. Dark. Good vs. Evil. This is the ultimate conflict leading to Ragnarok. In all of history the roots of good and evil have been what has driven man and god alike to act as they do, and Ragnarok is ultimately the conclusion to this epic struggle for dominance. Between my Aesir and the demonic Jotunn, the world will come to a conclusion, whether or good or evil, I am uncertain for now.

My Comrades in War.

Thor, the huge, strongly built, red-bearded god. Loki, the pleasingly handsome shape-shifter. Tyr, the hulking, blond hair blue-eyed son on Odin, who is missing his left hand.  These are all people who I shall fight alongside in Ragnarok. These are the men who plan on aiding my Vallhallan Warriors in the final battle against evil. Wish these men luck.
